Ei Suzhali -- MY EXPERIENCE IN TRANSLATING THIS SONG

It was big challenge to translate this melodious duet song.
இந்த இனிமையான டூயட் பாடலை
மொழிபெயர்ப்பு செய்தது எனக்கு ஒரு பெரிய சவாலாக இருந்தது.
There were lot of new Tamil words.
இதில் நிறைய புதிய தமிழ் வார்த்தைகள் இருந்தன.
I will have to do lot of research for knowing the meaning of them.
அதன் பொருளை அறிய நான் நிறைய ஆராய்ச்சி செய்ய வேண்டி இருந்தது.
Luckily the poet himself had explained the words in a blog.
அதிர்ஷ்டவசமாக கவிஞரே அந்த வார்த்தைகளின் பொருளை ஒரு வலைப்பதிவில் விளக்கி இருந்தார்.
Even to translate this song's meaning in prose was a big adventure for me !
இந்த பாடலின் பொருளை உரைநடையில் மொழிபெயர்ப்பு செய்வதே எனக்கு ஒரு பெரிய சவாலாக இருந்தது.
To translate it as a poem in English, I think we should call Shakespeare !!
அதை ஒரு ஆங்கில கவிதையாகவே மொழிபெயர்க்க வேண்டும் என்றால்
நாம் ஷேக்ஸ்பியரை தான் அழைக்க வேண்டும் என்று நான் நினைக்கிறேன்.
This song shattered my ego about my English knowledge.

I should remember that I am just an English Teacher or Trainer. And I CAN'T BECOME AN ENGLISH POET !
நான் ஒரு ஆங்கில ஆசிரியர் அல்லது பயிற்சியாளர் தான் என்று நினைவில் வைத்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும். நான் ஒரு ஆங்கிலம் கவிஞர் ஆகிவிட முடியாது.
May be I can attempt to translate 40% of songs to a reasonable quality.
ஒரு வேளை நியாயமான தரத்தில் சுமார் 40% பாடல்களை நான் மொழிபெயர்ப்பு செய்ய முயற்சி செய்யலாம்.
The rest 60% I may fail become I am not a poet !
மீதமுள்ள 60% பாடல்களில் நான் தோல்வி அடையலாம். என்னென்றால் நான் ஒரு கவிஞர் அல்லவே.
