Introduction : Friends, Tamil poet Barathiyar's poems will ignite our minds and fill our hearts with tons of self confidence.

It was my long time wish to translate some of them. Here is my translation of "thaedi sooru nitham thindru"  as best as I could do.

தேடி சோறு நிதம் தின்று
பல சின்னஞ் சிறுகதைகள் பேசி —
Daily begging for food ...
Idling my time by gossiping ..

மனம் வாடித் துன்பமிக உழன்று —
பிறர் வாடப் பலசெயல்கள் செய்து
Then finally one day losing heart, after suffering from many hardships ...
Doing many jobs that hurt others ...

நரை கூடிக் கிழப்பருவ மெய்தி —
கொடுங் கூற்றுக் கிரையெனப் பின்மாயும் —
Soon getting grey hairs and reaching old age ...
Finally one day, getting withered away by the unavoidable natural sunset of ones life...

பல வேடிக்கை மனிதரைப் போலே — நான் வீழ்வே னன்றுநினைத் தாயோ?
Do you think I will pass away casually like this ?
Like the umpteen Don Quixotes or funny people of this world?

My road accident and how Ms. Shivani gupta inspired me என் சாலை விபத்தும் ஷிவானி குப்தா எனக்கு கொடுத்த பெரிய ஊக்கமும். -- -- .. ONLINE ENGLISH CLASSES   through TAMIL / ஆன்லைன் ஆங்கில பயிற்சி ..  I am indebted to Ms. Shivani Guptha, a wheelchair confined lady, who gave new energy to my life in May 2007. /  ஒரு சக்கர நாற்காலியுடன் தன் வாழ்க்கையை கழிக்கும் ஷிவானி குப்தா, மே 2007~இல் எனக்கு ஒரு பெரிய ஊக்கத்தை கொடுத்தார். அதற்காக நான் அவருக்கு நன்றிக்கடன் பட்டு உள்ளேன். Friends, On 12th April 2007 at 9.30 pm I met with a road accident. I had two fractures, one on my right leg and another on my right hand . /  நண்பர்களே, ஏப்ரல் 12 ஆம் தேதி 2007 அன்று இரவு  9.30 மணியளவில் நான் ஒரு சாலை விபத்தை சந்தித்தேன். அதில் எனக்கு இரண்டு எலும்பு முறிவுகள் ஏற்பட்டது. என் வலது காலில் ஒன்று, என் வலது கையில் மற்றொன்று.
