My first job at Premier Mills, Hosur.

For the first 4 years I stayed in the Staff Quarters next to the mill campus at Belathur, Hosur Tk. Premer Mills was a composite text mill. Part 3 ** About premier mills ## பிரிமியர் மில் பற்றி
The major departments were spinning, weaving, process house, power house, folding, packing, personnel, security, printing, dyeing, Chemicals Lab and of course, the IT Department or EDP Department (Electronic Data Processing) as it was called then. /மில்லில் பல முக்கிய துறைகள் இருந்தன, நூற்பு துறை நெசவு துறை , பதப்படுத்தும் துறை, மின் உற்பத்தி துறை, மடிப்பு துறை, ஆள் எடுக்கும் துறை, பாதுகாப்பு துறை, அச்சு துறை, சாயம் ஏற்றும் துறை, இரசாயனங்கள் ஆய்வகம் மற்றும் தகவல் தொழில்நுட்ப துறை அல்லது EDP துறை (அப்போது தகவல் தொழில்நுட்ப துறையை அப்படித்தான் அழைத்தார்கள்).

We used the RDBMS software UNIFY as back end software and "C language "as front end software .i.e. to store and retrieve the data. /ஆர்.டி.பி.எம்.எஸ் [RDBMS] மென்பொருளாக யூனிஃபை [UNIFY] என்ற ஒன்றை நாங்கள் பயன்படுத்தினோம். தகவல்களை் சேமிக்க மற்றும் மீட்டெடுக்க நாங்கள் "சி --மொழி" மென்பொருளை பயன்படுத்தினோம்.

Part 4 / 1 --Reporting to KSM ###

My duty time was from 8.30am to 6pm. But only half the days I used to return home early. / என் வேலை நேரம் தினமும் காலை 8.30 முதல் 6 மணி. வரை. ஆனால் மட்டும் பாதி நாட்கள் நான் 6 மணி முடிந்ததும் வீட்டு திரும்புவேன்.

Part 6 LATE TO OFFICE
ஒரு நாள் நான் தாமதமாக அலுவலகம் சென்ற போது.../
(1) Once I was late 10 minutes or so to the office. A "Late Slip" in my name was prepared by the security office and reached my boss, KSM Sir's table. / ஒரு முறை நான் சுமார் 10 நிமிடங்கள் தாமதமாக அலுவலகம் சென்றேன். அதனால் என் பெயரில் ஒரு "தாமதமாக சீட்டு" (LATE SLIP) பாதுகாப்பு அலுவலகம் நபர் மூலம் தயார் செய்யப்பட்டு என் மேல் அதிகாரி KSM SIR 'ன் மேஜையை அடைந்தது .
He called me to his cabin. / அவர் என்னை தனது அறையிற்கு அழைத்தார்.
I saw him holding the YELLOW LATE SLIP in his hand./ நான் அவர் கையில் ஒரு மஞ்சள் தாமத சீட்டு இருந்ததை பார்த்தேன்.
He told me, "Ezhilarasan, Shall I write 'He went to pick up the Computer Service Engineer?' " / அவர் என்னிடம் , "எழிலரசன், கம்ப்யூட்டர் சேவை பொறியாளரை அழைத்து வருவதற்காக சென்று இருந்தார் " என்று இதில் எழுதவா?".... என்று என்னைக் கேட்டார்.
(2) If he writes that comment, my half a day salary will "not be cut". / அவர் அப்படி எழுதினால் எனக்கு அரை நாள் சம்பளம் வெட்டு இருக்காது.
But I told him, "Sir, If I happen to come with the computer service Engineer, it will be here generally around 10.30 a.m. not 8.40 a.m./ ஆனால் நான் சொன்னேன், "ஐயா, நான் கணினி சேவை பொறியாளருடன் வருவது எப்போதும் 10.30a.m. தான் தற்போது போல 8.40a.m. இல்லை.

I replied, "Sir, Please do whatever you feel like", and left his cabin. / "ஐயா, தயவுசெய்து நீங்கள் எதை செய்ய விரும்புகிறீர்களோ அதை தாராளமாக செய்யலாம்", என்று நான் பதிலளித்தேன். பிறகு அவரது அறையை விட்டு வெளியேறினேன்.
That month my salary was "not cut" for that day./ அந்த மாதம் என் சம்பளம் அந்த நாளிற்காக "குறைக்கப்படவில்லை".
(4) The computer service Engineer will have heavy workload and many times he will not keep his commitments./ கணினி சேவை பொறியாளர் கடுமையான பணிச்சுமை காரணமாக பல முறை அவர் தனது வாக்கை நிறைவேற்ற மாட்டார்.

But the motivation KSM Sir gave me does not make me think it as a difficult job at all./ ஆனால் எனக்கு KSM சார் ஊத்வேகம் கொடுத்ததால் அது ஒரு கடினமான வேலையாக எனக்கு தோன்றவில்லை.
