It is a low budget movie acted by second level comedians as hero and heroine. I don’t know their names.

A middle class college professor gets housing loan for about Rs.1,10,000. He should monthly pay Rs.3, 500as loan installment. But he has great difficulty in paying it. He could not pay that amount regularly. He also does not attend the phone calls from the bank staff.

Hence, every time, the bank staff will have to meet the person only after great efforts. Every time he accuses him for delaying the payment and hiding from him. One day the loan collecting staff comes to his college and disgraces him in front of his students. Then on his wedding anniversary, again the collection staff comes and disgraces them in front of their neighbours. Hence, he and his family commit suicide.

HIs brother in law decides to take revenge against the OCOC Bank which killed his relatives. He stays in a star hotel and shows off as if he is a business magnet to a staff member of OCOCBank. That staff member falls for his tactics and sanctions loan after preparing fake documents. This process is repeated again and again. And the bank staff gets promotions and our hero gets huge loans without any security.

And finally, the hero gets a loan for 360 crores and escapes. He never bothers to pay back even one loan installment. He is also owner of loan collection agency. And hence he was able to escape easily.

Finally a top officer of OCOC Bank comes to the defaulters place. They were shocked to see an orphanage is being run at that address. Then with great difficulty they locate the cheat.

A case is filed against him. At the end after court case, the hero is released with a very small fine.

It clearly explains how the Banks bend their rules while giving loan to top people and do the opposite to middle class people. How they harass middle class people to pay back loan installments. A few years ago we had read such things in newspapers which had led to suicides.

They had avoided giving the title GANDHI KANAKU to this movie which who have been apt. I think it is because they had expected many people may file a case objecting to it. Hence they had given the title Maagan Kanakku.

I did not see the movie completely. Anyway I think I had understood the complete story and given the gist of the in a short format.
