 இவற்றின் நாக்குகள் பசைத் தன்மையுடன் காணப்படுகின்றன. பூச்சிகளைக் கண்டதும் நாக்கை நீட்டினால், அவை தப்பிச் செல்ல முடியாமல் ஒட்டிக்கொள்கின்றன.

 பச்சோந்தி மட்டுமில்லை, பல்லி, தவளை போன்றவற்றின் நாக்குகளிலும் பசை உண்டு கார்த்திகேயன்.
