தெனாலிராமன் மல்யுத்த வீரனை தோற்கடித்தல்.
A famous wrestler came to Vijayanagar from Delhi. He has won many people in wrestling./ பிரபல மல்யுத்த வீரன் ஒருவன் டில்லியிலிருந்து விஜய நகரத்துக்கு வந்தான். அவனோ பலரை மல்யுத்தத்தில் வென்று பரிக பெற்றவன்.
He met King Krishna Devaraya. He told about his heroic deeds. / மன்னர் கிருஷ்ண தேவராயரைச் சந்தித்தான். தன் வீரதீர செயல்களைச் சொன்னான்.
“I have come to compete with the wrestlers in your country. Tell me who will clash with me tomorrow?,” he asked. / “தங்கள் நாட்டிலுள்ள மல்யூத்த வீரர்களுடன் போட்டியிட வந்துள்ளேன். நாளை யார் என்னுடன் மோதுவது என்று தெரிவியுங்கள்” என்று கேட்டுக் கொண்டான்.
So he called many wrestlers of his country to his palace and asked, "Who will wrestle with him tomorrow?."
அதனால் தன் அரண்மனையில் உள்ள பயில்வான்கள் பலரை அழைத்து, “இவருடன் நாளை மல்யுத்தம் செய்யுங்கள்” என்று கேட்டார்.
No one came before for that. "We cannot wrestle with him," they said in fear.
அதற்கு ஒருவரும் முன் வரவில்லை. "இவருடன் எங்களால் மல்யுத்தம் செய்ய இயலாது" என்று கூறி விட்டனர்.
This was a great shame to the king. “Is there no one here?”, he shouted furiously.
இது மன்னருக்குப் பெருத்த அவமானமாக இருந்தது. “இங்கு ஒருவருமே கிடையாதா?” என்று கோப ஆவேசமாகக் கத்தினார்.
At that time, Tenali Raman stood up. "I will wrestle with him," he said. The king said "okay".
அச்சமயம் தெனாலிராமன் எழுந்தான். “நான் அவருடன் மல்யுத்தம் செய்கிறேன்” என்றான். மன்னரும் "சரி "என்றார்.
Tenali Raman went near the Delhi wrestler and said,
தெனாலிராமனும் டில்லி மல்யுத்த வீரனிடம் சென்று ...
“I have mastered wrestling. I have won many prizes. Do you know 'Kaisai' wrestling? ".
“நான் மல்யுத்த சாஸ்திரம் படித்தவன். அநேகரை மல்யுத்தத்தில் வென்றுள்ளேன். உனக்கு 'கைசை' மல்யுத்த சாஸ்திரம் தெரியுமா?” என்றான்.
The Delhi wrestler who did not know about it, thought that it would be a shame to say, "I don't know" and hence said, "I know."
இது பற்றிக் கேள்வியே படாத டில்லி மல்யுத்தக்காரன் "தெரியாது" என்று சொன்னால் அவமானமாக இருக்குமே என்று நினைத்து, “தெரியும்” என்று சொல்லி விட்டான்.
Then Tenali Rama said, "Then we will wrestle tomorrow according to 'Kaisai' Shastra."
“அப்படியானால் 'கைசை' சாஸ்திரப் படியே நாம் நாளை மல்யுத்தம் செய்வோம்” என்றான்.
Both of them went to their place to stay.
இருவரும் தங்குவதற்கு அவரவர் இடம் சென்றனர்.
The Delhi wrestler was thinking deeply about of “Kaisai” wrestling the whole night.
டில்லி மல்யுத்த வீரன் “கைசை” மல்யுத்த சாஸ்திரத்தையே யோசித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தான்.
But nothing was visible to him.
ஒன்றும் புலப்படவில்லை.
He thought that it is better to leave the town without anyone knowing overnight, than to lose in the wrestling match the next day.
இவனிடம் நாம் நாளை தோற்பதை விட, இரவோடு இரவாக ஒருவருக்கும் தெரியாமல் ஊரை விட்டு புறப்படுவதே நலம் என்று கருதினான்.
Accordingly, he left the town.
அதன்படியே ஊரை விட்டு போய்விட்டான்.
Everyone gathered the next day to watch the match.
போட்டியைப் பார்க்க மறுநாள் எல்லரும் கூடிவிட்டனர்.
But the Delhi wrestler did not come.
ஆனால் டில்லி வித்தைக்காரன் வரவே காணோம்.
The king came to know that the Delhi wrestler had ran away overnight and hence gave the gifts to Tenali Raman appreciating his talents.
டில்லி மல்யுத்த வீரன் இரவோடு இரவாக ஊரை விட்டே சென்று விட்டதை அறிந்து தெனாலிராமனை பாராட்டி பரிசுகள் வழங்கினார் மன்னர்.
