Around April 2019, I went to the Salem Old Bus Stand area to the Head Post Office to assist my mother for some work there. // ஏப்ரல் 2019 இல், நான் சேலம் பழைய பஸ் ஸ்டாண்ட் பகுதிக்கு தலைமை தபால் நிலையத்திற்குச் சென்று இருந்தேன். அங்கு என் அம்மாவுக்கு ஒரு வேலை இருந்தது. அவருக்கு உதவியாக சென்றேன்.
Our work was not completed immediately. And we were asked to wait for long. Hence we were forced to wait for 3 to 4 hours in that area. // எங்கள் பணி உடனடியாக முடிக்கப்படவில்லை. மேலும் நாங்கள் நீண்ட நேரம் காத்திருக்க வேண்டி இருந்தது. எனவே நாங்கள் அந்த பகுதியில் 3 முதல் 4 மணி நேரம் இருந்தோம்.
It was lunch time and we felt hungry. So we went to a nearby bakery and had some snacks. After a long time gap, it was the first time I went to that area. On the way, walking through the bus stand, I found an incompleted but newly constructed brick-steps damaged. It was still wet with cement mixture and had been stepped over. A few whole and broken bricks were scattered nearby.

After carefully picking it from the floor, I walked slowly and with difficulty "without" using my walking stick.

I got tired. Then I started moving away from that place.

About fifty to hundred people would have noticed me doing this job will great physical efforts. But none bothered to join with me.

Anyway, I know that the ALMIGHTY is "watching" me and HE will "allot marks" for my job in HIS LEDGER.

A ten year old boy was sitting a bit away from that place. He was all along watching me amusingly and amazingly, what I had been doing.

After completing this job, I told him, "You need not go to orphanages or old age homes to do social service, this is also a kind of SOCIAL SERVICE."
இந்த வேலையை முடித்த பிறகு, "நீங்கள் சமூக சேவை செய்ய அனாதை இல்லங்கள் அல்லது முதியோர் இல்லங்களுக்குச் செல்ல வேண்டிய கட்டாயம் இல்லை. இதுவும் ஒரு வகையான சமூக சேவை" தான் என்று சொன்னேன்.
I don't know whether he understood what I told or not.

However, I was happy that I did a good job that day, in spite of my challenging health and the scorching sun.

It was a good message. This video triggered me to write something related to this subject .
