Translation Village school travelling experience
ஒரு கிராம பள்ளியில் சிறப்பு ஆசிரியராக நான் பணி செய்த மறக்க முடியாத சுக அனுபவம் பற்றி (33 நாட்கள்) -- சுருக்கப்பட்ட பதிப்பு.
From January 15, 2018 till March 15, 2018, I worked in a village school G.R.MATRICULATION, Muthunaicken patty. It was 15 kms from Salem. I worked there for about 33 days as a special English Trainer.
ஜனவரி 15, 2018 மற்றும் மார்ச் 15, 2018 முதல், முத்து நாய்க்கன் பாட்டியில் உள்ள ஜி.ஆர்.மெட்ரிகுலேஷன் பள்ளி் என்ற கிராமப் பள்ளியில் 33 நாட்கள் பணியாற்றினேன். அது சேலத்திலிருந்து 15 கி.மீ தொலைவு. நான் அங்கு ஒரு சிறப்பு ஆங்கிலப் பயிற்சியாளராக பணியாற்றினேன்.
Daily I took classes for 2.5 hours. I worked only 3 days a week. However, from morning 9.30am to 4pm, I was engaged. It was an unforgettable and enjoyable experience.
அங்கு தினமும் நான் 2.5 மணி நேரம் வகுப்புகள் எடுத்தேன். நான் வாரத்தில் 3 நாட்கள் மட்டுமே அங்கு வேலை செய்தேன். இருப்பினும், காலை 9.30 மணி முதல் மாலை 4 மணி வரை நான் இதற்காக என் நேரத்தை ஒதுக்கீடு செய்தேன்.
இங்கு வேலை செய்தது எனக்கு ஒரு மறக்க முடியாத இனிய அனுபவம் ஆகும்.

Of course, daily it was a dare-devil travelling experience in the town bus. ***
தினசரி நிச்சயமாக என் உயிரை பயணம் வைக்கும் ஒரு சாகச பயண அனுபவம் தான் அது.
With great alertness and mental stamina, I travelled in the public transport using my walking stick and a one foot long banian loop.
பெரும் உஷார் நிலையுடனும் அதிக மன உறுதியுடனும் பொது போக்குவரத்தை பயன்படுத்தி நான் அங்கு பயணம் செய்தேன். என் ஊன்றுகோலையும் பனியன் துணியால் செய்த ஒரு அடி வளையமும் தான் என் துணை.
Then my brother was retired and at home. Daily he used to drop me at Chatram Bus Stop near my house at 9.30 am.
அப்போது என் சகோதரர் ஓய்வு பெற்று வீட்டில் இருந்தார். தினமும் காலை 9.30 மணியிற்கு அவர் என் வீட்டின் அருகில் இருக்கும் பஸ் நிறுத்தத்தில் என்னை இறக்கி விடுவார் (chatram bus stop).
Immediately I will set an alarm in my mobile. Just 5 minutes before the bus time, as soon as my alarm beeps, I will move out of the shade and cross the road and wait for my bus in the sunlight.
உடனே நான் என் மொபைல் ஃபோனில் ஒரு அலாரம் (எச்சரிக்கை மணி) இயக்கி வைப்பேன். சரியாக பஸ் வர 5 நிமிடங்கள் முன் என் மொபைல் அலாரம் "பீப்.. பீப்" என் ஓசை எழுப்பும். உடனே நான் நிழலில் இருந்து வெளியே வந்து சாலையைக் கடந்து சூரிய ஒளியில் பஸ் நிற்கும் இடத்திற்கு செல்வேன்.
There I will be ready like an ASTRONAUT boarding a SPACE CRAFT, alert and pacing up and down the road.
அங்கு நான் உசாராக, ஒரு விண்வெளி வீரரை போல தயாராக காத்திருப்பேன். ஓர் இடத்தில் நிற்காமல் சாலை ஓரத்தில் மேலும் கீழும் நடந்து கொண்டே இருப்பேன்.
One route bus NO.8 (SANTHI) will come there at jet speed.
சரியான நேரத்தில் மின்னல் (ஜெட்) வேகத்தில் பஸ் ரூட். எண் .8 (santhi) அங்கு வந்து நிற்கும்.
With meticulously calculated steps -- both in timing and speed, I will walk up to the bus.

When the hand rails of the bus steps are within my reach, I will hang my walking stick in my banian loop cloth in my right hand and board the bus in a fraction of a second.

At the beginning, the bus conductor used to arrange a seat for me. But after a few days, he observed how comfortable I was moving inside the speeding bus.

From Chatram bus stop, the bus will travel for about 45 minutes to reach my school bus stop.
நான் ஏறிய (chatram) பஸ் நிறுத்ததில் இருந்து பேருந்து என் பள்ளி பஸ் நிறுத்தத்தை அடைய 45 நிமிடங்கள் பயணம் செய்யும்.
The first 30 minutes will be in the hectic city traffic. It will go via Salem Junction, then take a right turn and then an "U turn" to reach the Steel Plant Road. Then after about 30 minutes, it will make a perpendicular right turn at the Muthunaiken patti approach road.

Immediately, I will stand up, utilizing a small lift or jolt in the bump in the road.

I will stand for a while to ensure that my leg muscles relax a bit and cooperate when I get down.

In the meanwhile many "newcomers" in the bus will be amazed to see me moving around very confidently in a fast moving bus, with a dangling walking stick in my shoulder.
இதற்கிடையில் பஸ்ஸில் உள்ள பல புதுமுகங்கள் ஒரு தோள்பட்டையில் தொங்கும் கைத்தடியுடன் வேகமாக நகரும் பஸ்ஸில், நான் நம்பிக்கையுடன் நகர்வதை பார்த்து ஆச்சரியப்படுவார்கள்.
Some will offer to help me. However, I will have to politely say "I am comfortable, please don't worry".
சிலர் நான் உட்கார "சீட்" வழங்க முன் வருவார்கள். எனினும், "நான் சௌகரியமாகத் தான் உள்ளேன், தயவு செய்து நீங்கள் கவலைப்பட வேண்டாம்" என்று அமைதியாக அவர்களிடம் சொல்வேன்.
When the bus had almost reached my bus-stop, I will start climbing down the steps and get ready to get down. I will not mind to the conductor's warning.

The bus will stop only for one or two seconds. And passengers are expected to get down in that time slot. Or else they will start scolding us.

After a few days the bus driver and conductor came to know that I am working a a teacher in a school, they offered to provide a special stop for me near the school. But I never insisted for it.
ஒரு சில நாட்களுக்கு பிறகு பேருந்து ஓட்டுனர் மற்றும் கண்டெக்டர் நான் ஒரு பள்ளி (சிறப்பு) ஆசிரியராக வேலை செய்வது அறிந்து, எனக்காக ஒரு சிறப்பு நிறுத்தம் பள்ளி அருகில் வழங்க முன்வந்தார்கள். ஆனாலும் நான் ஒருபோதும் அதை வலியுறுத்தியது இல்லை.
I will have to walk about 6 minutes to reach the school say about 11am.

Daily I took there classes for 2.5 hours generally between 11.30 am and 2.45 pm. Then i will rush back by 3 pm to catch the same bus on its return trip back.
